Store Hard Boiled Eggs in the Fridge

Store Hard Boiled Eggs Fridge

Boiled eggs are straight forward to store – you can store hard boiled eggs in the fridge for a couple of weeks.  Usually, though, if you’re like me, you need to use them up within 3-4 days or you simply “don’t fancy them any more” 🙂

When I’ve got eggs that are on their end date, or a few days out of date, I’ll just do the float test in a jug of water to check they’re still OK (if eggs float they’ve gone off) – and then I microwave hard boil them, cool them fast in cold water and put them into the fridge.

Doing this extends their lifespan as they’ve been cooked.

Stop the Eggy Smell

If you just put hard boiled eggs into the fridge, every time you open the door there’ll be an overwhelming whiff of egg, which isn’t pleasant.

What I do is pop the boiled eggs into a sandwich bag and twist it round to trap the smell!

It’s that simple.
