Silicone Cupcake Cases as Dipping Pots

I use individual silicone cupcake cases as dipping sauce pots.  Over the years I’d tried a variety of small pots and dishes to try to hold dips, but dips for one person are very small quantities and rigid pots are a problem.  You need a pot large enough to get the item in, but without having to load up a load more dip than you wanted. I’ve some great little porcelain pots, but found I couldn’t fit Pringles or tortilla chips into them easily, plus they were a bit of a nuisance to wash up and put away without running the risk of chipping them or dropping them (I’m a bit clumsy really).Silicone Cupcake Cases Dipping Pots

Silicone bun cases are the perfect solution because they’re flexible, so will hold the dips, yet expand if you’re poking at them with a tortilla chip! I guess this is what’s called, these days, a Kitchen Hack (I do hate that term!), it’s just a handy tip!

Silicone bakeware’s very flexible for using in the microwave, or in a toaster oven, or a regular oven – they’re easy to wash, easy to store and they don’t chip or break!  They last for years and years too!  I love the cheery colours they come in.  I do like brightly coloured plasticware in the kitchen and often use bright coloured picnic plates to eat from just because I find them so uplifting.

Microwave safe, dishwasher safe and ovensafe to 220°C.

For Picnics & Parties!

These cupcake cases can be picked up at most supermarkets or even snapped up online for pennies!  They take up no space at all as they all sit neatly inside each other. Great for a minimalist kitchen – and perfect for taking out to picnics, or a buffet table too.  Cheap, cheerful, delightful!  100 uses.
