Quick Microwave Burger in a Burger Bun With Chips

Aldi Jalapeno Beef Burgers Quarter Pounder Microwave Cooked Chips

You can microwave frozen beef burgers from frozen – this is a no fuss, quick way to get a tasty beefburger in a hurry!

Having bought some frozen beef burgers, the Aldi Jalapeno Quarter Pounders, I was over eager to try them out – so today I grabbed one from the freezer, along with a frozen bread roll and some frozen oven chips.

About 12 minutes later I had burger and chips on the plate and being eaten.

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Spread the frozen oven chips out in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on full power for a total of 8-10 minutes, tossing them every 2-3 minutes so they all cook.
  2. Place the still frozen beef burger in a microwave safe bowl with a vented lid (or cover with cling film with a steam vent in it.  Microwave for 4-5 minutes, turning, draining off the fat and checking how it’s doing every minute.
  3. Spread your relish on your bread roll, place the hot burger into the bread roll.  Add the chips to the side!

It’s as simple as that.

These burgers were truly fabulous – I served this Jalapeno Burger with a big dollop of Tesco Habanero Chilli Relish that I already had in the cupboard – and the flavours really went together VERY well!

These burgers are a keeper.

Meal Cost 70p:

The cost of this burger, with the large bread roll and the chips worked out at about 70p.

Now if I’m out and fancy a burger, but they cost £4-5 from the street trader van, I can come home and get my own “fix” very quickly at a fraction of the price!
